Golden Predator to Reduce Costs at Springer

Vancouver, British Columbia, September 17, 2008: Golden Predator Mines Inc. (TSX:GP)announces it will undertake a series of cost cutting measures at its Springer tungsten facility in Pershing County, Nevada. Due to events in global financial markets over the past weeks and months, the company has decided to implement a series of cost savings programs which will delay eventual startup of the Springer mill. All permitting activities and many operational readiness programs will continue, which should better prepare the Company for the return of orderly financial markets and the continuation of pre-startup activities.

Golden Predator recognizes the hard work, integrity and professional standards of the Springer work force over the past 21 months and wants to thank those that contributed to advancing Springer this far.
