Golden Predator Mines Inc. Appoints Larry Yau As Chief Financial Officer

Golden Predator Mines Inc. (TSX:GP) is pleased to announce Mr. Larry Yau has been appointed Chief Financial Officer replacing current Chief Financial Officer, George Lim, effective August 1, 2008. Mr. Lim, who has served as Golden Predator's Chief Financial Officer since July 17, 2006, will continue with Golden Predator in an advisory capacity working closely with Mr. Yau to ensure a seamless transition. 

Mr. Yau has over seventeen years of extensive public company experience in the mining sector with mergers and acquisitions, financial management and financial reporting. Mr. Yau was previously Chief Financial Officer of Farallon Resources Ltd. where he facilitated financing of over $100 million. Prior to Farallon he led the Vancouver Corporate Development Group at Placer Dome Inc., focusing on merger and acquisitions and project development. 

Mr. Yau holds B.Sc. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Yau will oversee the financial department of Golden Predator Mines Inc., based in Vancouver, which includes Mr. Alex Tong, CA, previously Corporate Controller of Energy Metals Corporation.
